Sara graduated in Psychology at the University of Nottingam. She subsequently held several completely unrelated posts until 2003 when part-time work at the Inns of Court School of Law introduced her to the world legal librarianship. After gaining her MSc Information Science from City in 2006, her first full-time post was at Addleshaw Goddard. Sara recently joined the team at Reed Smith Richards Butler where she is Senior Research Librarian. A special election message from Sara, "It's
rare that there is more than one contender for a post within the CLIG
committee and it's really exciting to be part of the competition. I have
been a CLIG member for three years and a committee member for almost two.
CLIG events have been enormously helpful to me but it has been a point
of principle to want to give something back to an organisation run so
successfully by volunteers. My previous experience in events management
has been useful for the work I've done so far with CLIG, and will also
be an asset in the future. If elected, I would support the Chair and committee
in ensuring that CLIG delivers events and opportunities that are high
quality; relevant to our whole range of members; entertaining and memorable.
I hope to be an approachable vice-chair; willing and able to nurture relationships
within and outside of the organisation. That way, the right speakers,
sponsors and of course members will come together to create great events." |
