Neil studied politics & philosophy at the University of Bristol, and then took an MA in International Relations at the University of Manchester. After working as a temp at the Manchester Incorporated Law Library Society, he decided that libraries were the thing. On moving to London in 2002, he got a job with BPP Law School at Holborn as an Information Assistant. He then took a part time MA in Library Studies at UCL, and on its completion became library manager for BPP's Waterloo Law School. He was recently appointed as Assistant Librarian (E-services) at the London School of Economics, with responsibility for the LSE Research Online database.
